This Sunday (17th June) I’m going to be at ELCAF at the Village Underground in Shoreditch. Here’s a photo of some of the things I’ll have with me.

If you’re in London you should come along. It’s going to be really good. There’s a load of talks and events during the day and it’s free to get in. See you there!

Suggestions?

Hello. Here’s some of my colleagues having a business discussion. What are they discussing? The next My Cardboard Life book!

I’m going to start working on My Cardboard Life book 2 quite soon. The plan is to make it just like the first book, with loads of comics from the archive plus bonus material.

If you’ve got any suggestions for the second book, particularly along the lines of what you’d like to see in the bonus material section, let me know. You can comment or email me at mycardboardlife (at) gmail dot com.

Story news…

Lots of people have asked me “are you going to do another long story like St Colin and the Dragon?”. The answer is “yeah, I think I am!”. Looking at the story-preview images again, I’m tempted to do “Recyclost” as a long story. I’d like to do “Cubz” too (it was second most popular in the vote). Either way I’m going to start writing it soon and you’ll be able to read it some time in the summer!

TCAF is this weekend! Here’s a photo of some of the things I’ll have with me.

If you live in or near Toronto you should come along. TCAF takes place at the Toronto Reference Library on Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of May and it’s free to get in. I’ll be on the second floor. I’m going to bring my paper and glue as well so if you want a little collage made I can do that. See you there!

Here I am taking part in the drawing parade at Comiket last weekend! (photo taken by Sarah McIntyre). If you came to see me then thanks. If you missed out, I’ve made a time-lapse video just for you so you can watch me doing some collage. ***Spoilers*** none of my fingers get cut off by the scalpel.

And this is what the finished picture looks like.

Comiket Drawing Parade

This Saturday (21st April) I’ll be at Comiket, the independent comics fair in London. If you’re around you should come along too! It’s at Bishopsgate Institute close to Liverpool Street station and it’s free to get in. I’m going to have copies of St Colin and the Dragon with me plus a bunch of other things.

Also, I’m part of the “drawing parade” which means I’m going to be drawing for half an hour and it gets projected onto a big screen. Actually I’m not going to be drawing I’m going to be doing a collage. If you want to know the rest of the drawing parade line-up and more details, have a look on the Comica website.
