Colin’s Clothes

Here’s a fun game that I’ve made. Click and drag the clothes onto Colin and make him a sassy outfit.

Feel free to take screen-grabs and link to them in the comments section if you come up with anything you want to share.

My Cardboard Life volume 6

Volume 6 of the My Cardboard Life mini-comics is finished and available to buy in my Etsy shop! I went for an orange cover in the end, with Colin and Pauline on the front. They’re doing silly faces. Because I make each book by hand, each copy is going to have a slightly different set of expressions ( I’ll always include a tongue though, because I enjoy the orange and pink combo)

As well as the new volume, I’ve also updated the sets in my Etsy shop, so you can now get a set of volumes 1-6 and also a 9 book set which includes the three My Cardboard life mini-stories comic books.

Go to http://thejuzzard.etsy.com for more details, or to buy.

Cooee!

Just wanted to share this animation of Cardboard Colin that I’ve made as an experiment. I made it in what is probably the most wasteful, time consuming way possible, by constructing each frame on a separate piece of paper with a new piece of cardboard each time. I think if I wanted to make something longer, I’d have to try some other techniques. Maybe some kind of cut-out / stop motion thing. The last resort (but also much easier) would be to do it digitally. Anyway, I’ve got no real plans of making a My Cardboard Life film yet,  just messing about for now.

Colin’s Halloween costume

It’s Halloween next weekend. Here are some ideas for what Colin might want to dress up as. You can vote for your favourite costume (via comments) and whichever is most popular, Colin will wear in Friday’s strip.

APE 2009

Are you going to APE this year? If not, then maybe you should consider it. After all I’m going to be there at tables 275 and 276A along with Cardboard Colin, Paper Pauline, Jonis Norac (Unconscious Ink) Ali Showkati (SSWestern).

APE aka. Alternative Press Expo is a comics convention in San Francisco. This year it’s taking place on the 17th and 18th of October. If you’d like to know more about it such as who the special guests are and how to get there, have a look at the website.

I’m going to be hanging around in San Francisco for a few days on either side of the convention, so if anyone’s got any suggestions of things which I simply must see or do while I’m there, please let me know!

Another upcoming event which is a bit closer to home (for me at least) is this craft sale in Southgate, North London on Saturday 12th September. I’m going to be selling the My Cardboard Life mini-comics as well as other books and zines, greetings cards, plushies and accessories.
