This is a test I made to see what Pauline would look like animated. I cut the frames out of paper with a scalpel and stuck them to some card. Not a very tidy way of animating! She’s wobbling all over the place. I suppose I can claim she’s shimmying.
Another dress-up game. This time is Pauline who gets the style makeover, and she really needs it! She wears the same white dress all the time. The first thing you should do is drag that boring old dress off. Then choose her something a bit more sassy. If you want to take a screen grab and share a link to it in the comments section, go ahead, I’d like to see what you come up with.
This week I changed the update schedule from Mon/Wed/Fri to Mon-Fri. I’m going to do the same thing again next week, and hopefully might be able to stick to that schedule permanently.
I’m going to be in Leeds on the 21st November for Thought Bubble. So if you’re going to that then I’ll see you there. I’ll have all the My Cardboard Life mini-comics with me (as well as some other comics/zines). I’m bringing some of the original strips along too so if you’ve ever wondered what Colin and Pauline look like “in the flesh” you’ll be able to find out.
You might have noticed that I’ve made a few small changes to the website. There’s now a ‘links’ section. There are links to various webcomics, divided into categories based on which My Cardboard Life character would read them. I’ve also added more information to the ‘about’ section, with FAQ. The ‘shop’ section has had a bit of a change-around too, now featuring a few non-My Cardboard Life items along side the My Cardboard Life mini-comics, cards and prints.
Last piece of news…if you haven’t seen it yet, The Xcentrikz interviewed me last week, so if you want to read the interview here it is.
Here’s a fun game that I’ve made. Click and drag the clothes onto Colin and make him a sassy outfit.
Feel free to take screen-grabs and link to them in the comments section if you come up with anything you want to share.
Volume 6 of the My Cardboard Life mini-comics is finished and available to buy in my Etsy shop! I went for an orange cover in the end, with Colin and Pauline on the front. They’re doing silly faces. Because I make each book by hand, each copy is going to have a slightly different set of expressions ( I’ll always include a tongue though, because I enjoy the orange and pink combo)
As well as the new volume, I’ve also updated the sets in my Etsy shop, so you can now get a set of volumes 1-6 and also a 9 book set which includes the three My Cardboard life mini-stories comic books.
