You know, if you were to give Colin “a shy little admirer”, you know what would be perfect? A book of matches! Colin deserves a little hottie who’s carrying a torch for him. She would be his perfect match, but Colin wouldn’t know it — she’d be a closed book to him!
ha! You went all out on this one! I can’t help but wonder what it looks like in your scrap-book thingumabob. Did you use string for his arms in the green panel? I noticed the cardboard doesn’t look like it changes, though the 2 previous panels do.
Love,
1am in the US.
You are very observant! The cardboard in the green panel doesn’t change, you’re right. It’s just the arms. They’re not string, they are just lines drawn with a pen on a separate layer.
fifth panel is hard to understand…. but i guess i know wats happening… i do prefer the images than the animations though as it does take a while to load…….. and images are easier to read and understand……..
Philippa,
This is terrific! I have watched it several times to take it all in. It is SO fun! But please, don’t animate the “end” result of what Colin drank!
Oh god this is priceless though I feel pretty bad for Colin. Especially the fourth frame where he starts to tweak.. looks like he’s on some bad speed :p
This reminds me of that one time 8 or so years ago when I gave a chile pepper to my little sister… it looked delicious. I still feel bad.
I do want to say how much I appreciate the bulge of the straw under the green “liquid” in the second panel, and the stiff-armed, very-un-Colin-like way that Colin drops the glass in the third. The whole episode reminds me of a cruel-but-wonderful memory from when I was in grade school, so thank you very much for that as well!
An excellent choice for another animated comic.
Poor Colin. Sometimes kids make us seek.

ha ha ha! that’s very punny, =P it actually sounds like a good character too.
Hmm, can a match box? Well, I think so!
Can a cardboard box? Yup!
They can box together!!!
Exept that this spoils it:
can a match box? no, but a tin can
ANIMATION! Love it!!!!!!!
I knew there was a reason I subscribed to this comic feed. This would be why!

the toungue rubbing frame reminds me of that seen in ‘Elf’ when Buddy the Elf (Will Farrel) takes a perfume sample and sprays it into his mouth haha
I picture Colin making the same type of noise as Will did.. this wimpery whiney yell .. ”aaeeehhhuuu”

Awesome attempt! Thanks for doing this! Colin looks so cute. Hope he gets better.
I love the one when he’s wipeing his tongue and the one when he’s running! Good job!
