Puppy 2
Sorry if this is a bit too sad and upsetting, but there is a moral of course, chocolate really is poisonous to dogs!

;_;
lol, I love how colin thinks everything is going to be a joke
yep very sad … but oh how many people i stopped over the years trying to feed our little pomeranian chocolate! …
It shows how innocent he is, the dog will get better
He’s a fan favorite…and everyone knows you can’t kill off a fan favorite!
hey wait a minute i thought all dogs could eat chocholate mine can and not all them are related
I think all dogs can eat milk chocolate, but not the dark kind.
yeah, coco (whats in chocolate) is poisonous for dogs and other small animals, it’s like beer for humans, some is not too bad, but too much can be deadly.
good comics btw.
all dogs can eat, it’s worse for dogs than it is for people … it has been known to make them more than sick …
this makes me cry
i dont want puppy to die* sniv vle*
my favoritest strip ever
Ouch, Poor little carboard creature. Not enough brains in his corrugated head between the two flimsy brown layers. Poor little cardboard dog, didn’t see his imminent death hanging threateningly over his cardboarder collie head…
Aw, sad. At least Polar Bear’s dead fish will keep him company in pet heaven. And that’s 2 of the 3 pets that have croaked.
do you take the picture of the strip with a camara then put it on the computer?
I use a scanner to get it on my computer.
ohh cool
ps love ur comics keep em cumin
ohh and know im advertising your website on mine:)
Love these comics and have followed them over from WCN, they always bring a smile to my face
when I saw this I thought “aaaw, no cardboarder collie – NOOOO!, she can’t do this!” So I’m glad he gets better
On a serious note tho’ folks, Philippa is making a valid point. What is Chocolatey goodness for us humans, is a long slow and painful death for dogs. Theobromine, one of the natural constituents of chocolate cannot be digested (metabolised) by dogs and builds up in their systems over time, affecting their nervous system. Initial symptoms can be agitation and vomiting, but build up to cardiac arrhythmias, epileptic seizures, internal bleeding, internal organ failure, cardiac arrest, and death. Prettty serious, huh? If you don’t believe me then talk to your vetinary surgeon or nurse.
ONLY Dog chocolate, made specifically for dogs, has had the nasties removed and is safe for your dog – but I wouldn’t recommend you eat it as it also has bone ash and other (safe) ingredients that dogs love! – eeew
That means, NO choccy cookies, cakes, biscuits, candies, sauces, sprinkles or drinks meant for humans are meant for your very own real or otherwise cardboarder collies or any other type of dog. Unless you want to genuinely kill it with “love”…
i meant that they could with no impicatios of bad things happening also seriously ot all of them are related one is a beagel
sooo sad. D:
You can give chocolate to dogs, just not TONS of it. If you drop something small, like a chocolate chip on the floor, or a little bit of chocolate pudding, it’s fine to let them eat it.
Dogs’ livers can’t remove some stimulants in the chocolate from their blood like humans can. Even relatively small amounts of high cocoa content chocolate will increase the heart rate to a dangerous level, leading to heart failure. A typical human would need to eat over 100 pounds of 70% cocoa dark chocolate to suffer the same fate.
They really did get a Cardboard Collie and Papursian? Yayz! Please live collie please live!
(p.s. I don’t want to see Polar Bear’s “pet” now… o.o)
Only to some dogs. I don’t know quite why, but I know 7 dogs who have eaten chocolate and nothing has happened. I know one dog who get chocolate cake for his owners birthday every year, and they have had him for 14 years.
