It’s an expression– “Punch your lights out” means to… well, punch someone. (And I think it means you punch someone so hard/so many times that they become unconscious. I’m not quite sure of the exact definition for it, if there is one.)
It’s used as a threat, basically. In the first panel, we think someone’s going to beat up Colin, but in the next panel, we see that Colin’s uncle(?) has actually literally “punched out his lights.” That’s why there are holes in his lamps…
…Wow, explaining the joke really makes it lose its humor.
not to the person you explain it to…they usually get a good laugh when it comes together for them…i know this cuz i need things explained sometimes…and i just crack up when it hits me haha
Oooh a new character?
I think it looks nicer, a bit holy!

he’s 90% more absorbent than a shamwow!
I don’t get it…

Ahahaha. I’m glad Colin’s uncle is so handy!
I really want to send Colin to a self-defense class and an Al-Anon meeting! Poor little Colin. Love it.
