An attempt at an animated comic. I used a slightly stupid method which involved making each walk cycle by hand with paper and ink, and then using a lot of layers in Photoshop to put it all together. The background in the moving panel is wobbling annoyingly, but if I do one of these again I’ll be able to avoid that I think.

I love it. Very creative.
didn’t notice the wobbling background till you mentioned it!
I agree with Joan, I didn’t notice it either!
very cool, didn’t know that his sister had so many kids! :O
Kudos on the hard work!! Loved the panel!
And Colin’s sis is soo cute.. with the pretty eyelashes in the second panel..
Looking fwd to Colin’s adventures with the kids..
And just saw the animation in full blow (it took some time to come to effect)..and wow!!! the line never seems to end.. sooo many kids! hahaha
Best panel ever!!
That is just fantastic… I’m super impressed by this animation! It’s very nicely executed and it carries the punchline beautifully. Great job!
Dang that’s a lot of kids!
My favorite is the checkered one.
Wauw, I love it!
I love it! I didn’t notice the wobbling til after I saw your comment on it, but now that I do see it I think it adds to the punchline. Colin is trembling with anticipation of the impending chaos!
Maybe that’s just Colin trembling with dread, I would be.
I couldn’t see the wobbling background until I looked really really hard. It really isn’t that noticeable. I did, however, notice a little jolt in the animation between when the flowery kid and the green kid walk through the door. Other than that, the animation is great! Well done
A well-executed comic strip. I was begging for some more of Colin’s nieces and nephews, and now we get to see them. I look forward to seeing this fantastic storyline arch continue – and your experimentation with animation!
I see colin is making them run laps into the house, out the back door, around the yard and so on
either that, or his sister has cloned all of her offspring …. i don’t know if they can all fit in colin’s little house
WOW!
This looks super, especially the look on Colin’s mug in the last panel.
The animation looks pretty great to me, what a treat today!
The wobbling really is very slight. I don’t think anyone would have noticed. Awesome job on the animation!

Wow infinite numbers of children!
I love that the orange guy has a limp. hee hee
LOL, cute, but how come Colin is bigger than his own door?
That’s not his house, that’s the shed he’s going to store the kids in until his sister returns.
was so surprised when i scrolled down and saw…A MOVING COMIC
WOW
Phillipa, this is awesome! I’m loving your experimentation with animation. And, as the others said, the wobbling background isn’t immediately noticeable. The action in the foreground draws attention away from the background, so the wobbling isn’t noticeable to anybody unless pointed out.
Wow, this is great! I’m hypnotized by its awesomeness.
I’m a new fan, just finished reading all the back installments a couple days ago. Love this comic so much.
Clever lil flash there @ the end =3
Ohmygosh! I love it! That was soooo cute, well done!
You rocks!!! Colin
That animation is great!
I congratulate you. :p It must have been a lot of work.
The “wobbling”, as you call it, is very hard to see, unless pointed out. Only a few pixel slightly change colour.
the only wobbling i see is colin a tincy bit…doesn’t annoy me i am busy liking you comic
The wobbling isn’t that noticeable unless one looks for it and the only thing I can see wrong with your way of doing a walk cycle is that the checkered blue/white kid jumps between Colin and the door, but that could just be a hop. But, seriously, you did a fantastic job!
I love how all of them are walking slightly differently! Good job!
Shouldn’t it be “Your the best BIG brother”?? umm yeah?
ooooo okay thought it was his mum
)
the blue checkered one is the cutest :3
How does Colin fit into the door?
he folds himself in half XD
